WHAT’S NEW

Canon strengthens A4 range Canon has expanded its printer portfolio with the launch of the imageFORCE C1700 series,

a larger seven-inch touchscreen, simplified setup and connectivity, and a warm-up time of just four seconds. A key focus of the new series is security. Canon has incorporated its Security Environment Estimation Technology, which uses machine learning AI-trained algorithms to recommend and apply optimal security settings for individual business networks. Additional features include encryption, multi-factor authentication and automatic firmware recovery. The imageFORCE C1700 series also introduces intelligent automation tools to support automated document workflows and cloud-connected productivity applications and a new toner formulation delivers richer colours and enhanced image clarity. Designed for long-term reliability, the devices feature a welded frame and offer integration with Canon’s uniFLOW Online print and scan management platform. The series also supports sustainability goals, offering 45% lower typical electricity consumption than previous models and incorporating recycled plastics and steel in its construction. www.canon.co.uk simplify power and connectivity through PoE, and deliver the bandwidth needed for latency-sensitive applications, high- density deployments, and next-generation enterprise networks. www.dlink.com

a new range of compact A4 multifunction printers designed for medium-sized offices and departments that require high quality printing, seamless document workflows and robust security. Part of Canon’s next-generation imageFORCE portfolio, the C1700 series combines advanced print and scan performance with enhanced digitisation capabilities. The devices feature

Next-generation imagePRESS

Canon’s new imagePRESS V900 II series is the latest evolution of its proven A3 cut-sheet colour toner press for light production environments. Designed for commercial and in-house print operations typically producing 15,000 to 250,000 A4 images per month, the new series builds on the imagePRESS V900 series, which has achieved cumulative sales of more than 5,000 units across EMEA since its launch in late 2022. The imagePRESS V900 II, V800 II and V700 II systems combine stable image quality with increased productivity and uptime at 90/80/70 A4 pages per minute respectively and support a wide range of applications. The compact and versatile platform is particularly suited to print environments managing a diverse mix of short-run, fast turnaround work, where consistent quality, application flexibility and efficient day-to- day production are essential. As versatile as its predecessor, the new series offers a wide range of feeding and finishing options, both from Canon and multiple third parties, that support diverse customer requirements and delivers enhanced performance through new drum technology, which helps to maintain stable image quality over a longer period and ensure clean halftones and minimal streaking; optimised idle control, which reduces waiting time before printing and enhanced jam recovery, which reduces press downtime. www.canon.co.uk shorter print runs, tighter turnaround times, rising quality expectations and industry- wide skills shortages, the AccurioPress C8100 Series reduces reliance on operator experience while delivering more consistent results across jobs and shifts. Redesigned for greater robustness and reliability, the AccurioPress C8100 Series delivers speeds of up to 100 A4 pages per minute. Konica Minolta says advanced intelligence supports customers who face tighter delivery expectations and helps them build a stronger, more competitive and successful digital print business. www.konicaminolta.co.uk

Wi-Fi 7 connectivity D-Link has announced the DAP-E3620 Series, a new family of BE3600 Wi-Fi 7 Enterprise Access Points designed to deliver secure, reliable, and high performance wireless connectivity for modern business environments. Paired with D-Link’s

DMS-1250 Series 2.5Gbps Multi-Gigabit Ethernet PoE Switches and the DAP-E3620 Series access points provides a complete end-to-end networking solution that maximises Wi‑Fi 7 performance. Together, they eliminate network bottlenecks,
